The best candidates for our thread lift procedures are men and women who are showing the earliest signs of aging typically developing between 35 and 45 years old. Factors we consider when recommending a thread lift are:

• Jaw prominence
  
• Extent of bags or persistent puffiness under the eyes
  
• Degree of sagging skin in the mid-face region
  

Thread lifts begin with a barbed suture insertion in which threads are fed through the layers of skin. Once the sutures are positioned in the sagging skin, they are pulled taut for a lift effect and secured in place. You will see a noticeable difference from the minimally invasive procedure right away. The sutures dissolve over the coming weeks while being replaced by natural collagen production. We also perform a thread neck lift procedure using the same insoluble thread lifting technique.

After your thread lift, the treated area may be tender, swollen, and bruised for a few days or longer, but will typically resolve on its own within a few days. Fortunately, since thread lifts are a low-risk procedure, the recovery time is far less intensive than that of a surgical facelift or other facial rejuvenation procedures. Based on the extent of the thread lift, our plastic surgeons may recommend that you rest at home for one to three days.

Made possible by the advances in laser communication technology, 125 to 250 microscopic laser beams are delivered into the skin. Although 1,000 to 2,000 pulses are delivered in each square centimeter, skin cells between the beams are not affected thereby allowing for incredibly quick healing. By treating a whole area such as the face with 3-6 sessions, the whole zone eventually is fully treated.

With numbing cream and the use of a cooling device, most patients rate the pain of the treatment as a 3-5 on a scale of 1-10. During a vampire facelift procedure, your healthcare provider will:
Apply numbing cream to your face.
Withdraw some blood, usually from your arm.
Spin the blood in a centrifuge machine to separate the PRP.
Inject specific areas of your face with filler.
Inject PRP into your face using a small needle.

A PRP facelift usually takes one to two hours.

You won’t feel pain during a vampire facelift because your healthcare provider will numb your skin. You may feel light to mild pain once the numbing cream wears off.
What happens after a vampire facelift?
After a PRP facelift, you may experience mild discomfort and bruising for a couple of days, up to a week. You should be able to go about your day with caution after the procedure.
You can apply ice packs wrapped in a towel to your face as needed to reduce swelling. You can take over-the-counter pain relievers as directed. When you go to bed, elevate your head and try to sleep on your back.
